The Authority recently acquired a structure in Deerfield Township that is scheduled for demolition. Prior to demo, the local volunteer fire company was invited to use the structure for training. Rosenhayn Fire Company (Station 29) invited the mutual aid fire companies of Gouldtown Fire Company (Station 15) and South Vineland Fire Company (Station 2), which normally respond to Deerfield Township in the event of a large fire. Thirty-five firefighters practiced forcible entry, search and rescue skills, and roof ventilation. Firefighters practiced these skills under limited visibility conditions using simulated smoke generator machines.
