USA chapter at Cumberland County Technical Education Center completed their fall community service project this week!

The SkillsUSA chapter at Cumberland County Technical Education Center completed their fall community service project this week! Partnering with the Center for Family Services, CCTEC SkillsUSA worked hard over the last 3 months to collect donations to stock a safe home for Domestic Violence victims. Each personal care kit contained 8 items that are the most requested by residents.

CCTEC SkillsUSA set a goal of 50 personal care kits to provide residents with enough items for approximately 3 months at the Cumberland home. However, the chapter EXCEEDED their goal and created a total of 86 adult kits and 10 child kits. This means there were over 730 total items donated by students and staff. There were so many items collected that the Center for Family Services will be able to use some of these items at a neighboring safe home in Gloucester County, further extending the impact of this project.
